.. sweet were the moments
Sweet were the moments short though, that we had
between us
Distant we might have been, and yet no one has ever
been so close,
Still before the sun sets today, all that was
yesterday has already been lost,
The missed kisses I will remember, but the parting has
a more dearer cost,
For with you, my love, paradise is lost ...
And life again is as it had been before I ever met
you, ordinary joy and sorrow,
But ironically, it will never be same ever again,
morrow,
Or days after .. for more than missing the gay
laughter
That we shared, I miss the silent moments I have spent
in your thought,
Thinking you are thinking of me,
While the heaven was weaving an unseen plot,
Yet, if you chose to leave me, I bid you fare well,
Forever my love, goodbye,
Am tempted to wonder, was it your pretence?
Or did I too steal a few of your heartbeats, as you
did many of my moments?
But better I not wonder in that realm any more, lost
as I already am,
For false be it or true, nice were the moments which
with me you shared,
And in the pleasant memory of those few moments shall
I survive the ones that heaven has, for me, spared.
