... Lady lying on my bed
It was a great weekend,
That almost seemed like godsend
As I found the lady in red,
Lying on my very bed.
There she was lying,
With a smile, looking me eying
Eying her from the head to the toes,
As if I had found an eternal answer to all my woes.
In that blissful moment, when I glanced,
Upon her petal like succulent lips
In my mind a shadow of doubt advanced,
As I remembered theres many a slip,
Between the cup and the lip.
As the sun moved on westward,
And time and me froze
Contemplating what would be the appropriate word,
With which, I should propose
Propose the lovely lady in red to get close.
When there's so much to say,
Words do not often find their way
And in silence thus I sat by the sweet-pie,
As my heart pounded, and I went shy.
How long was it? May be barely a moment,
But it was like eternity as I sniffed the pervading
scent
Of the lady in red
Who was lying on my bed.
So close to each other, in that frozen moment,
Did she hear how my heart pounded under torment?
As I made love to her, in my mind
I thought, some words I must find.
Words to convey the deepest of my feelings,
The words to say, lets make love for ever, together
Finally my words found wings,
And I blurted out a proposal of sort, hoping she would
gather
That incoherent though, I was sincere to her.
As I said, it was a weekend,
Which seemed almost like godsend
Lady in red,
Lying on my bed
Refused to wed!
