... I missed you today !

I missed you today,
when i awoke to cloudy skies, early in the morning.
I could hardly open my eyes
but my mind was full of thoughts of you.

I missed you today....
when your voice wasn't so clear in my memory,
tickling my ear
while a smile would be beggin' to form on my face.

I missed you today...
when throughout my classes you were the only one i would think of.
I'd drift into our special place
where only we existed and our lips would touch...
never parting for a moment
except when we breathed and whispered,
"I love you," in between our beating hearts.

I missed you today when i didn't catch you online...
and i waited and waited- but no sign of you.
I waited until the sky grew dark and the moon shined bright
sending light through my window.
I held back my tears... turning off my computer.

I missed you today when you didnt call me the whole day...
and I waited, thought of calling you, but could not.
I thought it was you whenever someone called me,
I tried to think about something else, but I know I can't do it.

I missed you tonight...
when i tried to go to sleep
and your face was there when i closed my eyes.
A tear rolled down and i tasted the bitter salt
...as i drifed off to sleep.
